About Darryl

Experience, integrity and follow-through.

I’m Darryl Power, founder of Capital Property. I bring together military leadership, business ownership, marketing and corporate asset protection to help Newfoundland property owners manage their rentals with confidence.

I served nearly 20 years in the military, retiring as an infantry Captain. That experience shaped my approach to responsibility: prepare thoroughly, exercise sound judgement, communicate clearly and remain calm when challenges arise. Integrity and accountability are central to how I work.

I have a natural aptitude for building businesses, with strengths in marketing, operations and financial management. My experience includes working with two online marketing agencies and co-founding another. I understand how attracting customers, delivering consistent service and managing costs must work together.

I helped build a local service business from the ground up, establishing a busy day-to-day operation within six months. The business remained busy for another 13 years. That experience reinforced the importance of customer relationships, reliable service and the discipline required to sustain a business beyond its initial growth.

My work in corporate asset protection strengthened my ability to identify risks, investigate problems and improve operating procedures. Practical knowledge of building and maintenance also helps me understand property issues, ask informed questions and communicate effectively with tradespeople. My role at Capital Property is to manage and coordinate the work, bringing in the appropriate professionals rather than carrying out repairs myself.

For property owners, these experiences translate into a straightforward commitment: honest communication, organised records, careful coordination and respect for your decisions. From marketing a rental to following up on approved maintenance, I take responsibility for seeing agreed work through.

I know trust is earned. My goal is to earn yours through consistent actions, clear information and the care I bring to managing your property.

How we work with owners

Clear Responsibilities. Informed Decisions.

A rental needs more than a listing. Tenant communication, rent records, maintenance requests and property transitions all need attention. Capital Property can coordinate these responsibilities within an agreed service scope, while keeping the owner involved in decisions about the property.

Owners can discuss tenant placement on its own or ongoing management. We start by reviewing the location, property, existing tenancy and support needed before confirming service fit. That applies whether you live nearby or manage your Newfoundland property from elsewhere.

Your quote and management agreement set out the responsibilities, costs and exclusions. Third-party property expenses are separate unless the written quote says otherwise, and placement, occupancy and rent payment are not guaranteed.

Keep the owner informed

Agreed work, property records and owner updates help you follow what is happening.

Coordinate locally

Tenant communication, inspections and approved maintenance coordination can provide a local point of contact for your property.

Agree on the next step

The property assessment starts a conversation about fit and scope. Services begin under an accepted written agreement.
